About this service

Pacemaker interrogation is a noninvasive check of an implanted pacemaker. A compatible programmer communicates with the device to read stored information, including battery status, programmed settings, and recorded heart activity. Your clinician uses these findings to assess how the device is working and whether adjustments or additional follow-up are needed. It is a device check, not an implantation procedure. Contact the office with your device information so the appropriate appointment can be arranged.

What to expect

  1. Confirm your pacemaker details and discuss recent symptoms.

  2. Have stored device information retrieved with compatible equipment.

  3. Review device findings and the next follow-up plan.

Before your visit

Contact the office with the details on your pacemaker identification card before scheduling. Bring the card and a current medication list. Ask whether previous device reports or any specific preparation are needed.
